Supply Over Circumstance
“You spin me right round baby right round, like a record baby right round right round” by Dead or Alive
I sent this song with a snap today and It got me thinking.
Do you ever feel like your life takes you round and round and you can’t seem to catch a break?
Those days where peace seems out of your grasp or lingers for too short of a time?
You get home from work only to let your 3 dogs out to run and potty for 10 minutes and jump back in your car again to go run an errand. When you finally get home it’s straight back to the computer (where you’ve already been all day at work) to help the hubby with invoicing. After hours you realize dinner needs cooked, and the dogs needs fed. While dinner is cooking you resume invoicing only to hear your dinner boiling over. Your dogs bark constantly and the puppy growls loudly while he tugs at the other dogs to play. Your table is a disaster of paperwork and mail, the floors need mopped, the dishes need done, the laundry baskets are overflowing, the sheets need changed
And you need your sanity……..
Just me?
Hi I’m Jessica and I am perfectly imperfect. I have recently discovered a lost passion for writing so I thought I would give this blog a go. I’ll be blogging in my free time (free time😂) which currently consists of me locked in my bathroom taking a bath and binge eating candy.
I promise to keep it real and personal for that matter, because while the internet is full of extremely private information it’s actually hard to find personal information. You know the information that actually connects people and builds relationships?
That information.
I’ll share the good the bad and the ugly because that’s what makes life beautiful and I refuse to be ashamed of it.
So while I sit here relaxing in the tub and sharing all of my nonsense I’ll also share what has kept me throughout this day. This morning before I rushed off to work I read a small 5 minute devotional. The scripture reference in the devotional was this:
Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered…And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.
The devotional brought out that while this situation looked impossible to others Jesus only saw Gods supply.
That hit me hard. Jesus only saw Gods supply.
As I go about my day there is a constant supply of peace available to me. No matter my situation Gods supply is there. It’s a matter of, where is my focus? I can easily focus on the lack of time I have for various things or the lack of money I have for planned projects. While I realize these “problems” might seem trivial to some they are not trivial to my Father. He cares about the smallest aspect of my life and His supply is always there.
Philippians 4:19 NKJV states
And my God shall supply all your need ACCORDING to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Notice how it says according to and not ‘out of’.
There is no limit on the supply that God gives it’s only a matter of how much are we willing to receive. Will I embrace my weakness to make room for His grace? Or remain strong and handle it on my own?
I am perfectly imperfect and I am not ashamed of it. Because where I am weak His is strong.
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Much love,
Jess
